In this episode of the podcast I sit down and chat with one of my favourite guys in the hockey world, former professional hockey player and CO-Founder of a hockey company called Buttendz Robert LaLonde.
We talk about all things hockey and get into his playing career when I asked him how close he came to actually making it to the NHL. You see Rob spent his entire career playing in the ECHL while getting a handful of call ups to the American League where he was realistically one step away from accomplishing every kids dream of playing in the NHL. Exciting right? We go over what that was like being so close, not only on a physical level but an emotional one as well, where one day your up and the next your down, literally.
We also talk about how he came up with the idea for his company Buttendz. And how his passion for the game of hockey has carried over into his business, and why trusting and believing in yourself and your own intuition is not only important on the ice but off it as well.
I appreciate Rob giving me some of his time today and I look forward to getting him back on the podcast and doing it again soon!
Until the next one,
Happy Training
Matt
