Stickhandling drill to work on off ice.
For this weeks post, I thought I would start a little series where each week for the next month I will be sharing one or two drills for you guys to work on off-ice to improve either your stickhandling, or shooting skills.
Hockey is a game that requires you to be strong at more than just one area, being an amazing skater is great, but if you don’t have a good shot or can’t handle the puck whilst skating, then what’s the point? You need to focus some of your attention at mastering all the skills that go into making you a complete player. And I want to help you to do that.
So in this week’s video we are going to work on the art of the backhand toe drag. Now, could we have started with something a little easier? Sure. And if you’re new here make sure to sign up for our free training course and get the basic stickhandling skills mastered before tackling this one. But if you feel like you’re up for the challenge, then check out the video and get out there and start mastering that backhand toey today!
I would love to see some clips of you guys training and putting in that work, so if you have any and would like send them my way, than hit me up on instagram and I’d love to have a look.
Happy training and as always, and feel free to hit me up via email or any of my social media accounts if you have any questions or I can help in any way!
Take care,
Matt.
