Is training year round the best option for young players today?

In this episode of the podcast I sit down with former professional hockey player and designer of the Mars Blade Roller Frame Per Mars.

Per grew up playing hockey in a small town in Sweden and then went on to play juniors in the United States and even got himself drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

A back injury forced Per to retire, but it also forced him to think about a new way of training and also a new way of making a living and spending his time, and thats where the Mars Blades come into the picture. We talk about how he came up with the original idea, his time playing hockey in the States and in Sweden, and he also shares some of his thoughts on kids training year round and how he used to spend his summers growing up.

This is a great episode with a great guy who really understands the game and what it takes to play at the top level.
